Making an Appointment

UMBC VITA partners with 211 Maryland for appointment scheduling.  Beginning February 1, please call them by dialing 211 or 410-234-8008 to make an appointment.  Online scheduling is also available.  

Before scheduling an appointment, please check to see if your tax return is in-scope for VITA:

Types of Returns VITA Does Not File

Only make an appointment if you can bring the below items to your appointment.  If you don't have these at your appointment, you'll be asked to re-schedule for another time when you can bring these items.

• A social security card for each and every household member

• Picture ID for each taxpayer
