Much of the research conducted for this portfolio indicated that in addition to recognizing culture, an organization must be able to critically analyze it's own capabilities regarding disaster response operations. By self analyzing the strengths and weaknesses of your own organization, you can begin to coordinate efforts with other agencies based on each ones unique strengths. Once the strengths of each organization are recognized and evaluated, you can begin balancing them to ensure the most effective use of time and resources. This balancing act requires a significant amount of interagency communication and coordination.
