MIDN 4C Sean Johanson

I am a Mechanical Engineering Major in my sophomore year. I am a midshipmen in the UMBC NROTC Battalion. I am a player and the Vice President of the Men’s Club Soccer Team.

I am a history major with a minor in naval sciences at UMBC, graduating this May. I am the battalion commanding officer for the UMBC NROTC unit for the spring 2023 semester. After graduation, I will be commissioning as a US Naval Ensign and am assigned to the U.S.S. Blue Ridge out of Yokosuka, Japan. 

 MIDN 3C Nicholas Schmidt

I am a chemical engineering major at UMBC, and will be graduating in the spring of 2024. I am very involved in the Navy ROTC program here at UMBC, and have really enjoyed the experiences I've had in the program. I will be commissioning as an officer in the Navy when I graduate, and am still exploring the potential jobs available to me when I commission.

I am a Mechanical Engineering major with a minor in Naval Science at UMBC. I am a member of the UMBC NROTC Unit and have been the midshipman Training Officer, Operations Officer, and Commanding Officer at the unit. After graduation, I will be at nuclear power school in Charleston, South Carolina, to become a submarine warfare officer.
