UMUNIII features two committees, one General Assembly and one Crisis Committee.
The goal of our two unique committees is to provide a hands-on and interactive international relations learning experience for all delegates. Our French Revolution Crisis Committee (1792) plunges delegates into one of the most volatile moments in modern history. As political factions battle for control, delegates will navigate shifting alliances and revolutionary justice in a fast-paced, character-driven setting. In contrast, our ECOSOC General Assembly tackles a pressing global issue: combating food insecurity in politically isolated nations. Together, these committees offer both high-intensity crisis debate and substantive policy discussion, ensuring a rewarding experience for all delegates.UMUNIII will allow high school students to develop important skills in diplomacy and collaboration.
We hope you are just as excited as us and we can't wait to see you on April 10th!
Assignment Process
Upon registration, schools will receive country/character and committee assignments. That being said, regardless of assignment all delegates, are sure to experience an excellent conference as UMUN provides equal representation to all delegates.
The UMUNIII Secretariat Board will be responsible for the review and selection process for the conference. Upon registration, you will receive an email from the secretariat asking for you to provide GA/Crisis seat preferences (e.g., you are bringing 10 delegates, and you would like 2 positions in Crisis and 8 in GA) as well as the official number of students you are bringing to the conference. You will then receive an official roster request from the secretariat which includes the positions (countries and characters) assigned to your school. An example of that form is included to the left, please do not fill this out until it is sent to your school.
The date when positions will be released is still to be determined. Thank you for your patience in this process!
