The Buddy System is a mentoring initiative by the Student Alumni Association to help introduce new members to the organization and facilitate connections with their peers.

All new members are strongly encouraged to join the Buddy System for their first semester in SAA (apart from special circumstances). This is to ensure that the new member is smoothly brought into SAA by having an existing SAA member help them navigate the organization. Admission into the Buddy System is on a rolling basis: as soon as a new member joins, no matter when in the semester, they’ll be paired up.
