DEFINERS seeks to
Document, describe, analyze and understand how preservice teachers perceive the use of social networking sites and video games as part of the learning and teaching of languages.
Document, describe, analyze and understand how preservice teachers utilize social networking sites and video games for their language learning, for their teaching, and for their professional development in general.
Produce helping guides and instruments like "Good Practices" or exemplary cases where preservice teachers transfer their informal knowledge on social media and social networking sites and video games into their development as language learners and teachers.
DEFINERS is a larger joint international research project that began in September 2022 with the initial research project SEGUE, which recruited participants and collected data in the School of Educational Sciences at the University of Malaga. Currently collecting participants and data from universities around the world, DEFINERS is still in the making, but in the meantime, you may see our research progress under Output.
