DEFINERS seeks to

1. Document, describe, analyze and understand how preservice teachers perceive the use of social networking sites and video games as part of the learning and teaching of languages. 

2. Document, describe, analyze and understand how preservice teachers utilize social networking sites and video games for their language learning, for their teaching, and for their professional development in general.

3. Produce helping guides and instruments like "Good Practices" or exemplary cases where preservice teachers transfer their informal knowledge on social media and social networking sites and video games into their development as language learners and teachers.
