Modules Overview

The Social Protection System 

In this intermediate level module, participants will delve extensively into the macroeconomic side of social security. An in-depth review to the financing of social protection in relation to population ageing will be discussed. Participants will then explore the different problems affecting the efficiency of the system by studying case studies on different countries’ experience. 

The Pension System 

Learning will focus on the foundation of pension and the related instrument that drives the system’s sustainability. Critical outlook of the system will see participants analyse its capacity to support the increasing older population’s need.  This in preparation for the introduction of different reforms on the pension system and how it can be achieved. 

Ageing Issues and Policies

What are the policies that protect the older populations? This module will explore the existing protection of the old people or lack thereof in issues such as long term care and abuse. Medical and on-ground experts share their expertise, work findings and experience in this comprehensive module to create awareness and invoke the next action for better protection of older people in Malaysia. 

Retirement Planning 

To build a complete retirement, participants will focus on assessment of the current financial situation along with setting financial and investment goals, risk tolerance and time horizon. It will also focus on asset allocation and mix, investment decision making, monitoring and rebalancing investments.
