The advancement in the Aerospace industry has pushes the Small Medium-sized Enterprises (SME) to comply with Industry 4.0 technologies. One of the major drawback to adopt the Industry 4.0 technologies is to understand what enables and inhibits the adoption of this new technology. Other than that, many processes are not yet digitalised and will need to be optimised and integrated. For this reason, three researches are combined and integrated to transform Malaysian Aerospace ecosystem through Industry 4.0 upgrading and strategy implementation. The first research, which covers by Sub-Program 1 (SP1) will create a digital Aerospace ecosystem via the implementation of cloud computing and data analytics. The cloud platform will be used to store and analyse relevant Aerospace information. The second research in Sub-Program 2 (SP2) on the other hand concentrates on the process capability enhancement that will present an end-to-end digitalisation of processes along the aerospace manufacturing and supply industry value chains. Seamless movement of goods and services between operations with improved visibility and optimised resourcing will also be the focus of the SP2. In Sub-program 3 (SP3), a strategic roadmap of I4.0 technology adoption is devised. The research focuses on understanding which managerial and strategic factors that has an impact on Aerospace SMEs adoption of I4.0 technologies.
