GSS.E1 I can use feedback from teachers and peers to drive personal reflection.
GSS.E2 I can honestly reflect on my learning experiences and skills.
GSS.E3 I can maintain a learning portfolio of my growth and reflection.
GSS.E4 I can create and execute a plan of action for personal skill growth.
GSS.E5 I can develop and use tools for measuring the success of my skill growth.
When we did our APA Lab report, I received a rubric and some suggested corrections to be made for my report. When I got this back, I made those specific corrections and made sure that I improved on the areas that I did not do the best on. Additionally, throughout the process of writing the report, some of my peers and I conversed and gave each other positive feedback on how we could made our reports better.
Currently, I do not have a picture of the rubric because the teacher has it, but I will upload a picture when I get it back.
Since the beginning of the second semester, I have continued to use feedback from peers to drive personal reflection. When working on my final project, my group members and I used postitive feedback to make each others projects better. Additionally, when we ask each other for feedback on our seesaw responses, they are always helpful and they evaluate (positively) how I could improve the post. Using their responses, I improve anything they think I could work on.
This is something that I plan to continue doing and growing on throughout physics.
With this skill, I realize that I tend to struggle with understanding what I have learned and putting it into words. On the contrary, I think that I am honest with myself on what I need to get better on and how I need to go about this. Continuing with this skill, I can write a reflection every week on what my hardships were and what I did well on. This will help me keep track of my progress in an effective way.

So far, I have learned that a vector is a quantity with magnitude and direction. A position vector is an arrow that starts at zero and continues to a location. Additionally, there is a quantity called a scalar which has no direction. Also, the displacement vector is the arrow that points from where you started to that location. Not only have I learned these definitions of useful terms, but I have also learned how to use them in assignments.

After about a week of Honors Physics, I am feeling pretty well overall. I was somewhat hesitant about this class at first, but as of right now, I believe it is going well. I am nervous about doing harder coding techniques, but I think that it will get better with time and practice. I am excited about learning the importance of physics and how it applies to the daily life. I am starting to identify that we focus, in depth, on figuring out how to solve the problem and how it works. This helps me get the most out of my learning experience because it helps me further understand the concept that we are learning.

Throughout my time in Physics so far, I honestly do not feel very comfortable. I do not have faith in my previous knowledge coming in for this class and I am genuinely worried that I am behind. For example, my geometry teacher did not teach sin, cos, and tan very well. I have noticed that this is catching up to me and that I may need to learn these new concepts on my own. On a more positive note, I have gained new knowledge so far in the world of physics. Including the gravitational pull on Earth, a variety of things about vectors, and how to apply various equations in learning situations.

The first semester of Honors Physics is nearly over, and I am honestly feeling pretty good about it. At least, I am feeling better about it than I had felt in the beginning of the year. I think that I have grown a lot as a physics student throughout the semester. I have worked hard to obtain the information and skills which are presented to me in class. I am proud of how far I have come, but I know that I still have a long way to go. I have learned how to formally report an investigation (for the first time!) and did better than I thought I would. I have also learned about kinematics equations and how to apply them. I am excited for the following semester and what is to come in the understanding in the world of physics.

From the end of the first semester, I have carried the same mindset into the second semester. So far, I feel like I am in a pretty good place physics wise. The only thing that I do not feel great about is my code, but I will keep trying to understand and form it. I still believe that I have a lot to improve on, but am trying to keep a positive attiude that I will eventually get where I want to be if I keep working hard.

It is almost the end of the year for Honors Physics. I am confident that I have improved as a physics student since the beginning of the year. However, there is still a lot of room for growth, which I am excited to explore when I take physics next. Some skills that I can improve on are developing code and solving problems systematically with mathematical equations. I am grateful for the experiences I have had in this class throughout the year. Thank you Mr. Brunner!
These few pages are full of a multitude of ideas, concepts, photographs, videos, and reflections on Physics. Hopefully, by the end of this year, this portfolio can demonstrate how I have grown not only as a physics student, but also a person. I will learn new concepts and reflect on them.
In relation to this goal, I believe it will be difficult for me to constantly update and maintain this website. Hopefully, by the due date, I am not rushing to add everything at once. In addition, I think that I set it up in a way that is helpful to me when it comes time to add things. One strategy that can help me improve on this skill would be to consistently add work to these pages once the assignment is completed.
Since my last interaction with this portfolio, I do not feel as though I have kept a steady update on my skills like I had planned to. Although I end up getting the work done, I think that it would be a lot less stressful and better overall if I gradually added things. This is something that I need to improve on in the following semester.
Since the beginning of the first semester, I believe I have done a good job of organizing my portfolio and keeping a steady update on different skills. I am excited to look back at it and evaluate all of the things I did in physics at the end of the year.
As this year comes to a wrap, I am proud of everything I have accomplished. I believe that this portfolio gives a great understanding of how much I have grown throughout the past year as a physics student. This portfolio demonstrates everything I have done throughout the year as a Physics Honors student, and may I say that even though it challenged me at times, I pushed through and the content in this portfolio reflects that.
Throughout my year of Honors Physics at Liggett, I would like to advance on my knowledge of physics. I would like to expand on ideas and dive deeper into the concepts. By the end of the year, I would like to finish with a good grade in the class, preferably an A+.
I have decided that the best way to represent this skill, being at the end of the year, is to complete it. Here is the checklist that I believe I have advanced my knowledge in since the beginning of the year.
I think that I will struggle with this skill greatly. I am not good at applying, creating, and using tools for measuring my on skills growth. Hopefully, as the year continues, this will change for the better. We have not really done anything yet that applies to this skill. I am still not quite sure how to go about this.
Over the course of the year, I can apply this skill by looking back through my portfolio and analyzing how I have grown.
