What We Do

Professional Development Workshops

The work students do has connections to the world beyond our walls and the life they might lead in it. CITL experts offer regular experiences for educators and administrators in various topics relevant to teaching in the modern world.

Consulting

Education should not be standardized. Content and pedagogical experts will work directly with you or your organization on a project or idea to meet your needs. Each experience is crafted specifically to you: we will build a team that best meets the needs of your organization and specific idea or project. These consulting services can be organized for in-person work, virtually, or a combination of the two.

Curricular Resources and Reading Lists (Coming Soon)

We focus upon building skills, not covering content, as we strive toward understanding. These resources, crafted by CITL and its partners, provide examples of the work done in summer workshops demonstrating the power of student-centered and authentic learning. These resources are freely shared for use in classrooms, whether in its current form, as a foundation for iteration, or as inspiration for a new idea.

We value growth and process as much as we honor achievement and product. This list of readings, curated for CITL and its partners, are shared by colleagues, pedagogical experts, and leaders focused on philosophy of education. These readings are aimed to deepen understandings of thinking, learning, and the culture of group dynamics as well as to provoke thinking differently. Look for upcoming opportunities for sustained or group study surrounding these texts.

Tutorials (Coming Soon)

Teachers provide scaffolding and structure, but learners make meaning. These resources provide learners asynchronous opportunities to develop deeper understandings of CITL throughlines. These tutorials include video and text-based lessons.
