Cephalopods are emblematic animals. For centuries, they have atracted the curiosity, fears and imagination of the humans, inspire them in many aspects of their lives, such as the art, culture, cuisine, media and scientific research. Nevertheless, many aspects of their lives as its diversity, distribution, behaviour, ecology and many other issues remain mostly unknow for us. I am a marine biologist focussed in the study of diversity and trophic ecology of cephalopods from the Macaronesian region (Azores, Madeira and Canary Islands), and their trophic links with their main predators, the deep diving cetaceans.
