GENERAL OBJECTIVES

As this lesson develops, students will learn:

  • Students through this lesson will be able to understand and use the simple past tense, know the form of the regular and irregular past.

  • Students will be able to use the past tense to talk about states that happened in the recent or distant past and ask questions.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES

By the end of this lesson on the Simple Past, all students will be able to:

  • Students could use the simple past tense form of the verb to show actions that happened a long time ago.

  • Students will be able to know the sentence structures in each of the sentence forms.

  • Students will be able to build different sentences in simple past tense in affirmative, interrogative and negative forms.

JUSTIFICATION

The importance of learning a simple past tense is that you can use it at any time you need it, so it is important to understand its use, once you know this tense, it is much easier to write sentences, talk to other people. Through this didactic lesson we seek to promote interactivity in learning the English language, teaching the simple past, through online resources, the use of information and communication technologies, as a method that helps student motivation, facilitating their learning through different strategies.

ROLE OF THE COURSE TUTOR

In our lesson unit, our role as tutors, in the virtual area, is to accompany the student in their learning process, which is formative, significant, solving their doubts, consists of guiding, guiding, where the student feels comfortable in their process and we can solve their doubts.

In this unit, the learning outcomes are based on the fact that the student understands the topic, is motivated to learn, carry out the activities, read carefully, acquire the simple past topic, and thus be able to complete the module successfully, developing final evaluation with significant learning process.

At the end of the unit the student could have a result:
