Shortlisted for the Staff Excellence Award 2016 for the continued industry engaged research, aiding companies in developing the necessary competencies in such areas as Building Information Modelling, Laser Scanning, Virtual Reality, and Facilities Management.

Developed both a MoU and MoA with the National University of Civil Engineering (NUCE), Hani, Vietnam, resulting in a number of postgraduate students enrolling annually at QUB on both MSc and PhD programmes. 

Member of the Chartered Institute of Building (MCIOB), the Association for Project Management (MAPM) [Fellowship status pending], the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and has attained the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) from the Project Management Institute (PMI). 

Reviewer for a number of journals including Automation in Construction, Journal of Legal Affairs and Dispute Resolution in Engineering and Construction, and International Journal of Law in the Built Environment, to name but a few. Also a reviewer and a member of the Scientific Committees for the RICS COBRA Conference and the ARCOM Conference. 

Guest speaker at various institutes and universities on Building Information Modelling (BIM), urban confined site construction, sustainable construction management and urban policy; some of which include the National University of Civil Engineering (NUCE) Vietnam, University College Cork, University Limerick, Limerick Institute of Technology, Institute of Technology Sligo and Letterkenny Institute of Technology, among others.
