Ouarzazate, known as the “Gateway to the Desert,” is an iconic destination in southern Morocco, located at the foot of the High Atlas Mountains. Renowned for its spectacular landscapes, palm-filled oases, earthen kasbahs, and rich Amazigh cultural heritage, the city provides an ideal starting point for exploring the Draa and Dades valleys, the Jbel Saghro range, and the vast desert landscapes of southern Morocco. Among its main attractions are the Taourirt Kasbah, the Ksar of Aït-Ben-Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the famous film studios that have made Ouarzazate an international destination for cinema. The region therefore offers a unique combination of cultural heritage, natural landscapes, traditions, and cinematic history.
