Abstract:
The article examines the multidimensionality of Augustyn Voloshyn through the prism of his life meanings aimed at enriching and realizing spiritual and Christian values.
The changing dynamics of researchers’ interest in the personality of A. I. Voloshin is presented. It was found out that the peak of interest falls on the anniversaries of births and commemoration of Augustyn Voloshyn. The defined wide range of his life meanings gives reason to assert that he is a man of high erudition, culture, spiritual thoughts, with great potential opportunities and abilities – from a priest, a teacher to the President of Carpathian Ukraine, devoted to his ideals and values until immortality. The characterized spiritual and Christian values in his life and activities turned out to be the main social and psychological regulators.
It has been proven that Augustyn Voloshyn was brought up and formed as a person until middle school age in a large family. From an early age, Christian values were instilled in him: love for the Lord, love for his father, mother, for his neighbor – sisters, other people who surrounded him, fear of God, obedience, mercy, sacrifice. Such a Christian life is a positive example for a newly created family, in general for a contemporary.
The multidimensionality of the personality of Augustyn Ivanovich Voloshyn lies in the specific meanings of his life activities. Life meanings, in our understanding, act as socio-psychological, sociocultural and spiritual regulators of human life and activity. We define them as the dominant orientation of an individual’s life and activity towards the realization of significant life and activity values. A person’s idea of the meaning of life and activity is the most general regulator of his life activity, when a person comprehends his whole life in general, trying to answer the question about the meaning of his existence in the world, his life mission.
