Abstract:

The article reveals the essence of academic integrity as an important component of professional training of future special education specialists. The importance of academic integrity in the formation of professional culture, ethical responsibility and readiness to carry out pedagogical activities in the conditions of a modern educational environment is substantiated. The main principles of academic integrity are determined, in particular honesty, responsibility, fairness, trust, respect and transparency. The features of the formation of academic integrity in the process of professional training of future special education specialists are analyzed. Pedagogical conditions that contribute to the development of honest behavior of students, the formation of skills of independent scientific work, critical thinking and a responsible attitude to the results of one’s own activities are outlined. It has been proven that adherence to the principles of academic integrity is an important factor in ensuring the quality of professional training of future special education teachers. In modern conditions of digitalization of education, wide access to information resources and active use of distance technologies, the problem of academic dishonesty is taking on new forms. This necessitates the search for effective pedagogical mechanisms for forming a culture of academic integrity in the process of professional training of future special education specialists. The formation of academic integrity in the process of professional training involves not only familiarizing students with the regulatory provisions and rules of academic behavior, but also developing internal motivation for honest learning, independent work and a responsible attitude to the results of one’s own activities. An important aspect is the awareness by students that academic dishonesty negatively affects not only the quality of education, but also the formation of the professional competence of a future specialist.
