EDUCATIONAL STARTUPS AS A TOOL FOR MODERNIZING THE EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM: A MANAGERIAL ASPECT

Abstract:
The article examines the phenomenon of educational startups as a contemporary instrument for modernizing the educational system in the context of digital transformation and societal change. The relevance of the study is by the growing role of innovation in education, the need to enhance its quality, flexibility, and responsiveness to current challenges. In conditions of rapid renewal of knowledge and technologies, traditional educational models no longer fully meet the needs of learners, which necessitates the search for new forms of organizing the educational process.
The essence of the concepts «educational startup», «innovative activity», and «innovation management in education» is analyzed. It is determined that an educational startup is an innovative project aimed at creating new educational products or services characterized by flexibility, adaptability, and result orientation. It is established that educational startups serve as an effective means of introducing innovations into the education system, as they enable a prompt response to changes in the social and technological environment.
Particular attention is paid to the managerial aspect of the functioning of educational startups. It is substantiated that effective management of such projects involves the use of modern management approaches, including project management, agile methodologies (Agile, Scrum), strategic planning, and digital tools. The key stages of creating and implementing an educational startup are identified: idea generation, analysis of target audience needs, concept development, resource planning, implementation, and evaluation of results. The role of the manager as a subject of innovation management is considered. It is established that a modern educational manager must possess a set of competencies, including creative thinking, digital literacy, strategic vision, team management skills, and decision-making ability under conditions of uncertainty.
The main challenges of implementing educational startups are analyzed, including insufficient funding, limited resources, low readiness of educators for innovative activity, and the lack of systematic support for innovative initiatives. At the same time, the prospects for the development of educational startups are outlined, particularly in relation to the digitalization of education, the development of partnerships between educational institutions and business, and the integration of innovative approaches into educational management systems.
It is proven that educational startups are an important factor in the modernization of the educational system, as they contribute to updating the content of education, implementing modern teaching technologies, and developing key competencies of learners. They ensure the flexibility of the educational process, its orientation toward individual needs and labor market demands. As a result of the study, it is substantiated that effective management of educational startups is a necessary condition for their successful implementation and the sustainable development of the educational system as a whole.
