REGARDING THE DEVELOPMENT OF ENTREPRENEURIAL COMPETENCE IN PRESCHOOL EDUCATION

Abstract:
The article represents a theoretical-applied study on the development of entrepreneurial competence at the preschool level. The first part provides a brief overview of the concept of entrepreneurial competence, higlighting the importance of developing this competence from the early childhood education stage. The paper aims to analyze teachers’ perceptions regarding the development of entrepreneurial competence in preschool children, based on the results obtained following the application of a questionnaire consisting of 10 questions.
The research sample consisted of 50 teachers (educators) working in preschool education in Romania and the Republic of Moldova. The results higlight educators’ interest in developing entrepreneurial competence in preschool children, as well as a series of suggestions regarding examples of good educational practices. As the same time, several difficulties encountered in the process of developing this competence are identified, mainly determined by certain limitations of the educational system, such as insufficient time and material resources, as well as the lack of professional training programs for educators in this field.
The results on the research may contribute to a better understanding of the role of educators in developing entrepreneurial competence in preschool children and may represent a starting point for improving educational practices in early childhood education.
