Abstract:
The article analyzes some theoretical aspects of preparing future teachers for the development of communicative competence of younger schoolchildren in a multicultural dimension. The need to train a teacher capable of establishing a constructive dialogue, building intercultural relations with representatives of different cultures, countries, ethnic groups, and nations in compliance with the communicative code, ensuring dialogization as a significant form of communication, has been updated.
The positions of scientists regarding the specification of the phenomenon of «multiculturalism», the multicultural orientation of the professional training of future teachers are presented. Attention is focused on the importance of a multicultural environment in activating the formation of the communicative competence of elementary school students, the development of intercultural dialogue skills, flexibility in communication and tolerance, multicultural environment. It was established that the multicultural dimension in the process of professional training involves the creation of a multicultural educational environment.
Key aspects of the influence of a multicultural environment on the development of communicative competence of younger schoolchildren are highlighted. It is summarized that the multicultural environment, thus, is the basis for the acquisition of value orientations of primary school students and integration into a diverse social context.
