Abstract:
The system of higher education in Ukraine requires decisive transformations in the training of highly qualified specialists and simultaneously actualizes the search for effective pathways and means of their professional advancement and creative development. Musical and educational work constitutes a significant factor within the pedagogical practice of the music art teacher, functioning as a specific form of pedagogical and sociocultural engagement. It stimulates educational and formative processes as well as spiritual development, fostering the establishment of moral foundations and a culture of behavior in the younger generation.
Purpose of the article. To identify the operational component within the structure of preparing future music art teachers for musical and educational work as an instrument for influencing the educational, formative, and cultural potential of the younger generation.
Musical and educational work (hereinafter – MEW) is understood as a process of conscious, active, and purposeful interaction between the educator (the subject of educational work) and the audience (the object of educational work), determined by the individual’s autonomous position in the selection of musical values and aimed at the dissemination of musical and aesthetic knowledge in order to intensify the spiritual development of the personality.
The principal functions of musical and educational work include the communicative, cognitive, creative, recreational and spiritual functions.
The operational component of MEW in the professional training of the future teacher is considered as a means of artistic communication with the audience and the development of oratorical mastery, which constitutes a fundamental element of the lecturer’s practice for prospective specialists. It is also interpreted as a specific form of extracurricular musical-educational work within general secondary education institutions.
Particular attention should be devoted to the system of personal abilities and skills required for the implementation of the work as well as to the forms and methods of organizing and conducting musical and educational events. Musical educational work represents a distinct sphere of professional activity for the music art teacher, directed toward the formation and development of musical preferences and interests of the younger generation.
