Abstract:
The article provides a theoretical substantiation of the problem of forming functional combat readiness of future officers in the process of professionally applied physical training within the system of military higher education institutions of Ukraine. The relevance of the study is determined by the contemporary conditions of warfare, which impose increased demands on the level of physical, psychophysiological, and professional readiness of officers, as well as by the need to modernize the content and technologies of military professional training.
The essence of the concept of «functional combat readiness» is clarified as an integral characteristic of a future officer’s personality, reflecting the ability to effectively perform service and combat tasks under conditions of complex physical, psycho-emotional, and informational load. The structure of functional combat readiness is substantiated; it includes physical, psychophysiological, applied, motivational-volitional, and professional-pedagogical components. Their content, interrelations, criteria, and levels of formation are defined.
The theoretical and methodological foundations for the formation of this readiness are determined on the basis of systemic, competence-based, activity-oriented, and axiological approaches. It is proved that modeling combat conditions serves as a key pedagogical mechanism, ensuring the integration of physical and special training, variability of loads, and the combination of physical development with tactical and applied actions. An algorithm for implementing the technology of forming functional combat readiness is proposed, which includes diagnostic, design, formative, control, and corrective stages.
The obtained results provide a scientific basis for improving the effectiveness of professionally applied physical training of future officers and may be implemented in the educational process of military higher education institutions in order to enhance the system of their military professional training. Prospects for further research are related to the experimental verification of the effectiveness of the proposed technology and the expansion of diagnostic tools for assessing functional combat readiness.
