Abstract:
The article provides a theoretical justification of the student-centered approach in higher education as a synthesis of pedagogical mastery, ethics of pedagogical communication, and digital technologies. It demonstrates that the modern higher education system operates under rapid sociocultural and technological changes, which necessitate a rethinking of traditional models of teaching. The focus is placed on the student as an active subject of the educational process, capable of selfdevelopment, reflection, and responsible choice of an individual educational trajectory.
The paper analyzes the works of Ukrainian and international scholars who highlight the humanistic foundations of learner-centered education, the role of pedagogical mastery and communication culture, as well as the potential of digital technologies for personalization of learning. It is argued that the effectiveness of the student-centered approach depends on the integration of three key components: the teacher’s ability to design individualized learning paths, the creation of an atmosphere of trust and partnership, and the use of digital tools to support student autonomy.
Special attention is given to contemporary challenges, including wartime realities, digital transformation, and the need to ensure inclusivity of the educational environment. It is emphasized that student-centered learning aligns with international standards of quality assurance in education and contributes to the formation of competitive professionals.
The study concludes that the synthesis of pedagogical mastery, ethics, and digital technologies is a decisive factor in the modernization of higher education in Ukraine. The proposed model of interaction «student – teacher – digital educational environment» can serve as a theoretical basis for further research and practical developments aimed at improving the quality of the educational process and fostering key competencies of learners.
