Abstract:
The article is devoted to the urgent problem of modernity – the upbringing of the personality, which is a key task in the process of creating a new social type of person. The authors emphasize the need to form a highly educated, intelligent and nationally conscious personality, capable of self- development, self-education and self-realization. It is determined that the goal is to ensure the comprehensive and harmonious development of future teachers, based on universal human values and cultural traditions. A special place in the educational process is given to teachers of higher education institutions, who play a multifaceted role and simultaneously act as teachers, scientists, organizers of the educational process and curators of student groups. Scientists draw attention to the importance of supporting students at the initial stages of their studies, when they face the psychological challenges of adapting to a new social and academic environment. In this context, the teacher becomes the central agent of socialization, influencing the multifaceted aspects of the personal and professional development of future teachers. Cognitive activity is defined as an important element of students’ cognitive activity, which is actively manifested through interest in learning, which forms the basis for independent initiative, stimulating creative interaction between intellectual, emotional and volitional aspects of the personality. The role of the emotional component in the educational process is also emphasized, which contributes to the formation of effective cognitive activity of future teachers in the process of professional training in higher education institutions. Attention is focused on the significance of a harmonious approach to education, where the key task is the formation of a personality ready for active participation in the cultural, professional and social life of a higher education institution.
