Abstract:

The article defines and practically substantiates the sociocultural and communicative significance of the subject «Musical Local Lore», which constitutes one of the components of professional training for future music teachers.

It is clarified that students’ readiness to apply the technologies of musical local lore research is based on the diversity of the musical culture of Bukovina and the scientific bases provided by the research platforms of local lore museums, libraries, and archives in the Chernivtsi region.

These support the sociocultural and communicative orientation in preparing future specialists in musical arts within Ukraine’s higher education system.

The training of a future specialist in the field of music and pedagogical education is focused on mastering effective means and methods of developing musical and educational and professional competencies focused on the achievements of ethno-regional cultural and artistic policy, the ability to consciously operate with knowledge and facts in the variety of national features of the formation of the artistic culture of the region. Therefore, the focus of the subject is based on a comprehensive system of knowledge about the work of artists and the field of musicology, which studies the ethnomusicological features of folk musical creativity.

The musical culture of the native land forms a voluminous and multi-layered diversity of musical folklore, composers’ creativity of local authors of different eras, performing tradition, stylistics and musical education. Therefore, it is important to support the principle of an interactive dialogic environment, social partnership, and musical and cultural communication that take into account educational needs, musical and performing traditions, and the peculiarities of the cultural and artistic space of the Bukovina region.
