Whether it's due to school, work, family, or something else, life can get quite chaotic. So, it is very important to find and hold onto the activities that help you destress during those hectic days. Here is a list of what those things are for me:
1. Clean: When it feels like the whole world is spinning, finding myself in a clean environment automatically calms my nerves because it seems like at least one thing is going right.
2. Watch vlogs on YouTube: There somehow seems to be something calming about spending time in your day to see what other people are doing with their day. And for a moment, you are not worrying about what tasks you are supposed to be doing because you are entirely encapsulated in someone else's world.
3. Take a break: Consciously taking a break can be so destressing because you allow yourself to block all the things that are causing your headache because you are going to come back to it. While this might seem like a band aid fix, it can help give you fresh eyes (or brain) to tackle your task at hand.
4. Take a nap: This one is a risky one. Sometimes a nap allows you to wake up refreshed and ready to take on the day. While at other times it might make you feel worse for "wasting" time in your day. So, proceed with caution.
5. Eat Ice-cream: I think everyone associates ice-cream with sunshines and rainbows, so it's hard to not be in a state of enjoyment while eating it.
6. Talk about what's stressing you out: I am not sure what natural law this is from, but talking about your problems can make the problem feel less like a burden. Plus, if you are lucky, the person you might be sharing your worries with might just have advice that can make your problem better.
