I am a sophomore pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences with minors in Public Health and Nutrition at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC). As an aspiring dentist, I am interested in community health and working in predominantly Black and Latine neighborhoods. I understand the persistent health inequities among Spanish-speaking patients in the United States and aim to develop a holistic care approach through research. As a research assistant, I am involved in recruitment and enrollment and in examining the reasons families choose not to enroll in PROTECT. In my free time, I enjoy crocheting, reading, and watching sports.
