Welcome to the MacDuff Lab!
We study inflammation and innate immunity to pathogenic and commensal microbes.
We study inflammation and innate immunity to pathogenic and commensal microbes.
Our research is focused on how the sensing of microbes regulates inflammation and innate immunity, and on the pathogenesis that arises when these pathways are disrupted. We use a combination of small animal models, cell culture systems, biochemical analyses and a variety of microbial challenges to investigate these processes.
