Hello, I am Jun Young Kim, an assistant professor of philosophy at Dankook University. I completed my Ph.D. in Philosophy at the University of Illinois at Chicago. I also received my M.A. and B.A. in Philosophy and a B.A. in Religious Studies at Seoul National University.

My research focuses on seventeenth-century philosophy and is primarily concerned with metaphysical questions. I am particularly interested in notions of dependence, essence, modality, and compossibility in the early modern period, with a specific focus on Leibniz.

주 연구 분야는 서양 근대 철학과 형이상학입니다. 라이프니츠 등 유명한 근대 철학자들 뿐만이 아니라 안톤 아모 등 많이 알려지지 않은 철학자들의 철학적 작업들도 관심있게 연구하고 있습니다. 서양 근대 시기의 다양한 철학적 문제들을 함께 고민하고 연구할 학자, 대학원생, 학부생들의 연락을 환영합니다.
