I. General Guidelines
Eligibility: Open to all officially bonafide/enrolled Senior High School (Grade 11 or Grade 12) students within and outside Davao City. Only one (1) entry per school will be accepted. Participants must be endorsed by their school principal or head teacher.

Note: Prepare a copy of the signed Endorsement Form before enlisting.
2. Group Composition: Each group must consist of 10 to 15 members.
3. Performance Act & Duration: All entries must be filmed on your respective school campus and must clearly feature the school’s name within the video. Submissions are strictly limited to a maximum length of two minutes; a penalty of two (2) points will be deducted from the final score for every 10-second increment exceeding this limit.
4. Music & Mandatory Audio: Groups are required to create a remix or revision of UIC UUG (UIC, we’re here for you!)

The Branding Hook: The specific line "UIC We’re Here for You" must be clearly audible and integrated into the music at least twice (2).
Genre - Artistic Liberty: Urban Choreography (Open Style) for a mix of various influences tailored to the UUG music.
Content Safety: Music must be free of profanity or inappropriate lyrics.
II. Submission Process
5. Dance Routine: Participants are given the liberty to follow the dance steps or to create their own choreography provided that the core stance or stepping (UIC, we’re here for you!) must remain consistent and visible during the highlight of the routine. Participant safety is our top priority. All routines must be strictly limited to dance choreography; stunts, tumbling, and high-risk acrobatics are absolutely prohibited. To ensure an injury-free performance, teams are required to warm up thoroughly and perform only in a cleared, hazard-free area on their school campus.
6. Submission Format: Entries must be submitted in Landscape orientation (16:9) in High Definition (720p or 1080p).
Submission of Video Entry (Upload and Share): Upload the video file in your Google Drive and Share as Editor to uco@uic.edu.ph, maborde@uic.edu.ph and ncapricho@uic.edu.ph
Labeling: File name must be: UUG2026_SchoolName
Deadline: All entries must be submitted by February 27, 2026.
III. Social Media Mechanics
The first phase of the dance competition is on social media engagements. All submitted qualified entries will be uploaded in the UIC Official Facebook (FB) page on February 28, 2026.
The Top 5 Entries with the MOST NUMBER of authentic Likes, Shares, and Comments on the official UIC post gets the spot for the final round of judging on March 7, 2026, 3:00pm at Gaisano Mall, Bajada. The top 5 qualifiers will be announced on March 6, 2026 on the Official UIC FB Page.
The Upload: Once the committee approves the video, it will be posted on the UIC Official FB page.
The "Hype" Period: Groups will have exactly 7 days (February 28 to March 6) from the posting date to generate engagement.
Anti-Spam Rule: Only "Authentic" engagement is counted. The use of "liker bots" or click farms will result in immediate disqualification of the Engagement score.
The committee reaches out to the top 5 finalists as to the flow of the final judging on March 7, 2026.
IV. Criteria for Judging
The top 5 finalists will be invited via zoom on March 7, 2026 3:00pm. Their entry will be shown and judged accordingly (in simultaneous with the Face-off Category of the UUG Dance Contest).
V. Prizes
Champion - Php 5,000.00 plus Trophy/Plaque and Certs
1st Runner up - Php 3,000.00 plus Trophy/Plaque and Certs
2nd Runner up - Php 2,000.00 plus Trophy/Plaque and Certs
3rd and 4th Runner ups - Php 1,000 each and Certs
