In this unit, we will explore alternative and integrated health care services and therapies that can support personal wellness, and the factors that influence personal choices of health products and services.
We will learn how to assess the quality of health information and use reliable information to make informed choices about our own health. We will also explore factors that lead to food ailments and safe food handling practices.
Finally, we will learn about healthy communities and the factors that help sustain them, the role of government in protecting school and community health, and how to implement a health promotion initiative to promote healthy living and foster a healthy community.
