☁️ How do I access UGCLOUD?
All students registered in the Upper Grand District School Board have access to UGCloud.
You are able to access Google Classroom, Gmail, Drive, as well as many other useful tools.
To access UGCloud type go to UGCloud.ca.
Student usernames are as follows: first two letters of your first name, first three letters of your last name followed by the last four digits of your OEN number.
For example: John Doe's username would be jodoe1234.
🔑 How do I change my PASSWORD in September??
In September student passwords are automatically reset to their OEN numbers.
If students wish to change their password they can go to their UGCloud landing page
In the upper right hand of the landing page, have your mouse hover over your username
When the drop down menu appears click password reset.
If this does not work, ask your teacher to reset your password, or see Library Staff.
Where can I find my OEN number?
Your OEN number can be found on your student card, your timetable, as well as any old report cards.
What will the LLC look like for students during the 2025/2026 school year?
The Library Learning Commons will be open to students.
Teachers will be able to bring their classes to the Library Learning Commons for lessons and to make use of Library resources.
Students who have a spare period or elearning can use the library space, but must sign in on the iPad at the circulation desk.
Teachers need to check with LLC staff before sending down any students.

☁️ Why can I not access UGCLOUD?
Double check your username and password are correct.
If both are correct, check to insure you are not logged into another Gmail Account on that device.
Log out of your personal account, and once you have successfully logged into UGCloud you can then add your personal account again.
If an error appears when logging in please follow these steps:
Go the the Upper Grand District School Board website and click on the student tab
You will see the UGCloud button, if you click this it will take you to UGCloud.
Or, you can open an Incognito Window and follow the previous steps.
If you still cannot log in, please talk to the Library staff.
What do I do if I lost or did not receive my student card?
Student cards are distributed after Photo Day in September.
If you did not receive your student card or you lose your card please talk to the Main Office Staff.
A $5.00 replacement fee will be charged for lost student cards.
Where can I look up books in the Library Learning Commons?
Students can look up books through the Library Catalogue.
Make sure that you are on the Guelph CVI catalogue.
Student can search by general topic, author, title, subject, series, or ISBN.
When they find the book they are looking for, they can click on it and they will be given more information including:
Call Number, Shelf Location, Format, and Status.
🖨️ How do I print?
In order to print you must first log in to your UGCloud account.
Before you print, click print preview first to check if all of your pages are aligned and your spacing is correct.
Printing from a Desktop Computer:
Before you click the final PRINT button make sure that the printer is set to the Library Learning Commons Printer
On your screen the printer will be labeled GCVILibraryTA221 or Library Copier
Once you select the correct printer you can then select if you want your document to be printed double sided - but sometimes double-sided is the default setting
Printing from a Chromebook:
Before you click the final PRINT button make sure that the printer is set to the Library Learning Commons Printer for Mobile Print
Click your destination and select See More, make sure to select GCVILibraryTA221.
On your screen the printer will look like: GCVILibraryTA221 (the mobile print option has a green symbol on the right hand side)
The PaperCut screen will then pop up
Select Sign in with Google and your document will print.
🌈 How do I print in COLOUR?
If students want to print in colour the pages will not be charged to their PaperCut account.
Students must pay the LLC Staff in cash directly.
To print in colour it costs $1.00 a page.
Price depends on the amount of colour on the page.
Share your digital document to gcvilearningcommons@ugcloud.ca and the LLC Staff will print it for you.
NOTE: colour pages cannot be printed double sided.
🔎 How do I FIND books I want in the Library Learning Commons?
You can find any book in the Library Learning Commons by using the information provided by the Library Catalogue.
The most useful tabs are the Call Number and the Status.
The Call Number refers to where exactly on the shelf the book is place
The Status refers to where or not the book is checked into the Library.
After checking the status and that the book is checked in, students can use the Call Number to find it.
What do different call numbers mean?
Every book has a different call number (Example: F HAN TOA V1):
The first set of numbers or letters refers to where in the Library Learning Commons the book is located (F means it is in the Fiction Section).
The first set of letters are the first three letters of the author's last name (Example: Jenny Han= HAN).
If there is another set of the three letters, this means the book is a part of a series and is the shortened version of the name of the series (Example: To All The Boys I Loved Before Series = TOA).
GR12: means the book is Fiction as has more mature themes meant for Grade 12 English ISU projects.
The grade 12 section is located on the right hand side of the Library Learning Commons closest to the Zen Zone.
F: means the book is Fiction and is located in the general Fiction section.
The Fiction section is located on the right hand side of the Library Learning Commons on the same wall as the Grade 12 section.
PB: means the book was originally located in the Pit.
Books based on Fantasy, Horror, and History are all located on the far side of the LLC.
GRF: means it is a Graphic Novel or Manga.
All graphic novels and manga are located on the far side of the LLC.
TOK: Theory of Knowledge.
Located on the short shelf beside the middle Café table.
000-999: Non-Fiction books/Reference books.
Located on the shelves at the very back of the Library Learning Commons.
AUT: Life Stories
Located on the back wall on the right-hand side
