This course introduces practical welding concepts. Students will learn how to use various welding equipment safely, in addition to blueprint reading, welding symbols, organizational skills and problem solving. This course has a high percentage of hands on learning with many opportunities to practice the require skills to complete mandatory projects.

Manufacturing - Welding

This course focuses on the welding and manufacturing fields. Students will learn proper hand tool usage and different welding machines and when to use each of them with proper procedures. Students will read technical drawings including the identification of welding symbols. Students will be able to measure and cut material accurately. The course will make use of the project based learning approach. Students will know all safety procedures before starting any tasks.
