Summer 2018
The 2018 Summer Band program will run from July 16 to August 16. Movie Band is at a new time, Monday/Wednesday afternoons from 1:30-4:00. And check out World of Drums, a fun rhythmic class open to all kids. The 2018 Summer Band Concert will be on August 16th at 1pm in the SBMS Auditorium.

The summer band program for 2017 will run July 17 - August 17. The Summer Instrumental Concert will be held August 17th at 1pm at SBMS.
2017 Summer Band Courses:
1) Fast Forward! - This is for beginner students looking to get a head start on an instrument. With Fast Forward, you get a free instrument tryout session, as many beginner lessons as you'd like ($15/ea), and a chance to play in our summer concert on August 17th.
2) Virtual Band - Virtual Band is for students with a year or more of experience. Participants learn several pieces, usually in the pop/rock =genres, and produce a recording.
3) Movie Band - Movie Band is for students with a year or more of experience. Participants learn several pieces of music from popular movie soundtracks and put on a concert at the end of the summer.
4) Instrument Lessons - These are 40-minute private lessons, and are intended for non-beginner students (1+ years experience). Lessons focus on the individual student and focus on technique and repertoire for their instrument. Private lessons are the best way to really learn to be an awesome musician. Lesson students can also perform a solo in the summer concert.
