Dr. Arya Karumanthra
Dr. Arya Karumanthra is a Post-Doctoral Researcher in the School of Forest, Fisheries, and Geomatics Sciences at UF. Her research focuses on integrating Artificial Intelligence into science classrooms to support teaching and learning around global challenges particularly related to environmental and climate issues. She is currently investigating the intersections of environmental and climate education and critical AI literacy.
Caleb Nyatuame is a Ph.D. student in Interdisciplinary Ecology in the School of Natural Environment and Resources at UF and a North American Association for Environmental Education Civic Engagement Education-Change International Fellow. His research develops an integrated environmental education framework that combines place-based learning and AI through a Community of Practice training program designed to enhance environmental educators capacity in Ghana and other African countries.
Carolina Simon-Pardo is a PhD candidate in Interdisciplinary Ecology in the School of Natural Environment and Resources at UF. She holds a M.S. in Educational Technologies and a B.A. in Filmmaking. Her research focuses on collaborative approaches with Indigenous and local communities in the Colombian Amazon to support biocultural conservation and culturally responsive science and environmental education.
