Hi, I am William Vaughn. Welcome to my Student ePortfolio. 

        I am a first-generation college student at the University of Florida studying Education Sciences with a specialization in Educational Technology. I attended Polk State College through Dual Enrollment and earned my Associate in Arts Degree. I currently live in Gainesville, FL, but I am originally from a small town in Central Florida. I am very passionate about education and graduated as valedictorian from high school.

  I have had the pleasure of representing the Florida State College and University System in several bill signings. Most notably, Senate Bill 704, “Postsecondary Education Bill,” requires transparency requirements for tuition, fees, and cost of materials for students like me. That said, education is very dear to my heart. We must educate the young generation of students as they represent the future of our society. Therefore, educators are the backbone of the education system. Being involved in education and empowering professional development is my utmost priority. I plan to develop online learning platforms with educational applications and digital resources. The interactive games will promote critical thinking and essential skill development. These resources can be used inside the classroom and at home. Technology is revolutionizing our education system, and I am proud to play a significant part in it.
