St. Augustine played an important role in the American Revolution—but not on the side of American independence! The city and its residents remained loyal to Great Britain, with many consequences.
This digital exhibit is based on a physical exhibit of the same name displayed at the Governor's House Cultural Center and Museum from May to December 2026. The exhibit was curated by members of the University of Florida Historic St. Augustine, Inc. (UFHSA) Education, Infrastructure, and Historic Preservation Committee. The digital exhibit preserves its content beyond the physical space so that researchers and students may continue to access its content.
