New Ambassador 2025-2026
Graphic Design
Hi! I'm Dylan Speicher, and I'm a third-year Graphic Design major here at the School of Art + Art History. I'm also pursuing a minor in Public Relations and a Ceramics certificate, as I love to be hands-on and involved. My goal is to be able to merge all of these skills, working on a creative team for a magazine or newspaper! In addition to being an ambassador, I'm an events coordinator for Hot Clay and a graphic designer for the Independent Florida Alligator.
Besides school, my interests include antique lamps, Tyler, the Creator, and absolutely anything Spider-Man related. I also love animation and collect art books. So far, my collection features Arcane, Disney era 1930s-1985, and both Spider-Verse movies. Additionally, I'm also obsessed with ladybugs- they're my good luck charm and actually caused me to attend the University of Florida! One landed on my phone during my tour of the SA+AH, and I was sold.
I grew up near the beach in Niceville, Florida (yes, it is a real place and yes, the people are nice there), so the ocean is one of my favorite places to be! Even though Gainesville is very different, I love it here and try to explore around town as much as I can. While I was initially nervous about moving to such a different environment, the SA+AH and the people here made me feel so at home. Everyone is so welcoming, so if you ever need help or just an honest critique, you can always ask!
If you have any questions or just want to grab a coffee and chat, please feel free to reach out anytime! I know the best coffee shop around town (hint: it's Coffee Culture).

Hi! My name is Marlie Hayes, and I’m a fourth-year Graphic Design major with minors in Mass Communications and Nonprofit Organizational Leadership. I am from Orlando, Florida, and the arts have always been a big part of my life! I went to an arts middle school, and there I fell in love with digital art and photography, and I knew I had to be creative for the rest of my life, especially in my career.
My goal is to do graphic design for nonprofit organizations, and I spent this past summer interning with Everytown for Gun Safety. My time at UF has helped me grow as a person and a creative. My courses, peers, and professors have pushed me to grow and find my dream career path.
Outside of class, I’m the Vice President of Vox Graphis, a designer for Swamp Records, and the president of the Women’s Water Polo Club. My advice is to get as involved as you can with things you are passionate about and take advantage of everything the SA+AH has to offer. If you have any questions about SA+AH or just want to talk, you are more than welcome to reach out to me at marliehayes@ufl.edu or on my Instagram @marliehayes !

Hi there! My name is Oskar Garcia, and I’m a fourth-year graphic design major from Weston, Florida. Along with my interest in design, I also enjoy birdwatching and photography. I am an avid bird enthusiast and will always have a bird somewhere on my clothing. I will talk your ear off about birds and other wildlife, and I can recommend some good hiking spots.
I was accepted through The PaCE program, and while I was initially hesitant, my advisors and the ambassadors swiftly cleared up the questions I had. In the PaCE program, I adapted quickly and enjoyed the flexibility it gave me; ultimately, it was a positive learning experience.
I was drawn to UF because of the familiarity I felt during my tour. For such a big college, UF’s College of the Arts has a great sense of community. The ambassadors who gave me my tour left an amazing impression that convinced me that UF was the college for me. Moving away and starting college is a huge change, and I hope to encourage that sense of comfort and belonging that the ambassadors provided during my tour and early college experience.
I look forward to working with SA+AH and contributing to our awesome community. Feel free to contact me through email at: oskargarcia@ufl.edu
You can also contact me in Spanish, as it is my second language.

Howdy! My name is Raleigh Lutz (he/him), and I am a third-year BFA Graphic Design major also pursuing a minor in mass communications. Being part of UF’s School of Art + Art History has allowed me to explore my creative side and produce work that lives in the intersection of visual appeal and effective design.
My other creative interests include illustration, photography, and film. I’m passionate about learning any medium that supports creative storytelling, always looking for new ways to express my ideas and share them with the world. Outside of class, you can find me at the movie theater catching up on new releases. I'm also involved with our design club, Vox Graphis, where I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate and grow alongside other creatives beyond the classroom.
It’s a true honor to represent the School of Art + Art History, as art is at the core of everything I do. This incredible community has made me feel so welcome, and as an ambassador, I hope to do the same for others.
For any advice, enquiries, or if you just want to chat, message me! My email is lutzraleigh@ufl.edu and my design-focused social media is @raleighsdesign on Instagram!
