Climate Smart Kids is a fun, self paced adventure to learn about climate change. With videos, experiments and games we explore climate science, greenhouse gases, blue carbon, threatened ecosystems and how to take action.

These lessons presented here review climate change science and solutions for children ages 11-18. While climate change is a global issue, much of the information presented focuses on Florida ecosystem and communities that will be effected by its consequences. As you go through these lessons, you will learn the basic science behind climate change, the importance of blue carbon, the types of greenhouse gases and their effects on the climate, what a changing climate means for ecosystems in Florida, and how governments, youth, and individuals can take action to prepare for its effects. We hope you, as a young person, become educated and inspired to communicate or take action on an issue that will effect your future. Additionally, we hope that this content can be used as a template for teachers, other local and national Extension, or other educators/communicators to guide youth in learning more about climate change.

Tackle each topic below and learn more about climate change.
