Cauliflower

Cauliflower, just like broccoli, cannot be found in the wild. Humans selectively bred this plant from wild kale, many years ago. Cauliflower isn't as popular in Florida as some of our other crops, we only grow about 350 acres of it each year.

Different Colors?!

Cauliflower comes in a multitude of colors such as white, purple, orange, or green! Some cauliflower types, like romanesco, have a very unique geometric shape!

Harvesting & Packing

Cauliflower is harvested and packed in the field for the fresh market. Learn how that is done in this video from The Produce Nerd.

Cauliflower Processing

Some cauliflower is destined for further processing into individual florets. These products can be distributed for frozen foods, pre-packaged fresh produce, and other products.
