Spices

Florida produces over 175 million pounds of herbs in hydroponic systems, and over 55 million pounds in traditional systems. Herbs consist of crops like basil, cilantro, dill, oregano, rosemary, and many other culinary spices. Surprisingly, only about two dozen commercial operations exist in the state!

Location, Location, Location

South Florida is home to a bulk of Florida's vegetable and herb production because of its consistent high year round temperatures. Herbs can be grown in greenhouses or out in the field!
