2024/2025 Citrus Contest and Auction
NEW FOR THE 2024/2025 YEAR!
What:
Tree drop off, judging, and skill-a-thon will be separate from the auction. The silent auction will be part of the Lake County Fair, taking place from April 4-13 at the Lake County Fairgrounds in Eustis, FL.

When:
Tree drop off will be March 31, from 3pm-7pm
Where:
Lake County Fairgrounds
Who:
All 4-H members that are registered for the program. Please be sure to register for the 2024/2025 Citrus Project in 4-H Online.
How:
All trees will be displayed, but those juniors, intermediates, and seniors who receive a blue ribbon will participate in the silent auction.
Record books MUST be submitted to be eligible to auction your tree.
How to prepare for the contest:
1. Care for your tree through the program year. See resources on the website for guidance.
2. Complete your record book and turn it in before the deadline.
3. Read the resources that are available on the Citrus Project Website under the Caring for my Tree and Citrus 101 tabs.
4. Participate in field trips to learn about the citrus industry.
5. Attend the workshops to have your questions answered, get hands-on practice for the knowledge and ID test, and even bring your tree to get advice with care or pruning.
6. Read Promoting and Preparing Your Tree to find potential buyers and get your tree looking show ready.
7. Register in 4Honline.
