This love story has many very beautiful scenes but as we well know there is a movie based on this beautiful book. As we well know the book is called "the notebook" but the movie is called "diary of a passion". Now, the question is what differences exist between the book and the movie; It is for this reason that we present some differences between the book and the movie. First, we have the scene when Noah and Allie first fell in love, they talked about their dream house and Noah promised to buy it and remodel it just the way Allie wanted. In the book, Noah inherited a large amount of money from an old boss who was also his friend thus forming a relationship as he mentions visiting him at night and keeping each other company. With that money he bought and fixed up the house just like Allie and Noah had talked about several years before. In the movie, Noah's father sells his own house to give Noah the money he needs to buy and fix up his dream house.
In the book, Noah and Allie separate on good terms, that is, they leave each other and are hurt, but nothing much happens. While in the book they fight the day they end their relationship.
Another difference between the book and the movie is the suspenseful kiss that brought Allie and Noah back in love. After Allie returns to Seabrook to see the house Noah built, they talk and talk in a canoe on a local river. The canoe trip down the river turns into a fight in the rain that ends in the famous kiss that Allie and Noah will never forget. That major event doesn't happen in the book, but only in the movie, which comes as quite a surprise.
Another difference is that the film's plot focuses mainly on Noah and Allie's life in their youth. Although this is also shown in the book. However, the book gives more details, such as the accounts of the letters that Noah writes to Allie. I think the movie rushes through the difficulties that Noah and Allie face as elderly people.
A big difference between Noah and Allie is that in the movie they argue on a couple of occasions but in the book it is always reflected that they have a nice relationship and it is not mentioned that they have ever argued.
Another difference is that in the film, Noah and Allie relive their love by passionately kissing and making love on the jetty in the pouring rain. On the contrary, in the book Allie and Noah enter the house after getting wet from the rain during their walk, they change their clothes and after they have both been warming up for a few moments near the fireplace, they kiss and make out. love.
According to the Book, it is Allie who asks Noah to write the notebook for her because that way she would be able to remember about their relationship but in the movie it is Allie who writes the notebook so she can remember what she herself felt and wanted to remember. On the one hand, it is good that in the movie it is said that Allie writes the notebook because that way she captures what her heart feels with all her soul.
And as the last difference we have the end. In the movie, they die together. After living and enjoying life together for so many years, it is wonderful how they fall asleep next to each other for the last time. However, that is not the same with the book. The last scene of the book suggests that Allie and Noah are making love. In addition, in the last chapter of the book, many moments are detailed that Noah goes through when Allie goes into shock due to her illness.
