Home practice is essential for students to be successful and to grow musically.
In order for your child to keep on pace with the learning, the following number of minutes per week should be set aside for practicing, depending on level:
Beginners: 50-75 minutes per week
Advanced: 75-100 minutes per week.
Students can do more if they wish. The in-school lesson is not practice time. You as the parent/guardian are very important to the success of your instrumental student. Please help your child to set aside practice time, 5-10 minutes per day, and a quiet, well-lit place to practice.
Please let me know if you have any questions about practicing at home, lessons, or anything pertaining to orchestra.
Thank you for supporting your children's musical education and helping them to have a great learning experience!
