The teacher presents sentences describing different situations (e.g.,“Hey What’s up, girl?") and asks students to answer the sentence is formal or informal and why they think that is formal or informal. Then, teacher briefly explains the lesson in a fun and relatable way.
Lesson Presentation
Strategy: Interactive Teaching
Teacher will present and explain types of speech styles, gives examples, and interact with the students for their opinion on the pictures. Then, the teacher will expound on each type of speech styles.
Lesson Development
Teacher will present a short video and ask students what type it is.

Students prepare a brief role-play demonstrating assigned speech styles such as, consultative: the student is speaking to a guidance counselor about possible career choices or university programs. The counselor offers advice in a semi-formal manner, using polite, supportive language but also being somewhat conversational and each group has 5 minutes for preparation and 2 minutes for presentation their role-play.

Assignment
Students will create a video by choosing 1 type of speech style with explaining the meaning that style they choose and creating their own speech that clearly demonstrates type of speech styles, along with the reason why they chose it within 5 minutes.
Time management and organization of activities will vary depending on the student’s goals and the level of difficulty of the topic. I was quite lucky to have the opportunity to do a practice teaching session before the actual one because it gave me time to practice time management. I was able to complete every step of my lesson within the allotted time without going over.
The lesson plan is focusing on students center. This must be done so that students do not feel bored or stressed about teaching and learning. When students enjoyed the activities, it made classroom management much easier.
The proplem I faced was with technology. I had to control the slides at the front of the class the whole time, which made me can't walk around but I tried my best to walk around when they did activities.
