Observation of Teaching in Grade 3 Elementary School

The activity of eating together among elementary school students, where the homeroom teacher serves the food and students help distribute drinks, creates a warm and joyful atmosphere. The students line up to receive their food, and the scene is filled with smiles on this Tuesday morning.

This teaching experience was the longest preparation I have ever had, because the students here are all very talented. However, it went well thanks to the wonderful mentor teacher and my Thai/Indonesian friends who helped prepare and plan the lessons thoroughly. The students gained a deeper understanding of Thai traditions and culture. They greeted each other with the traditional “wai,” which I had taught them. I felt a great sense of pride knowing that the students were able to apply what they had learned in their daily lives.
