• Some students may struggle to distinguish between different emotions (e.g., confusing anger with frustration, or fear with worry).

• Students might not be familiar with English emotion vocabulary. 

2. Weak Emotional Communication Skills

• Some students may be shy or reluctant to express their feelings.

• They may react inappropriately (e.g., laughing when someone is sad, ignoring others’ emotions). 

      • Use visual aids (emoji cards, facial expressions) and real-life examples.

  •Teach simple sentence patterns such as: “I feel _ when _.”

 •Teach basic empathy phrases like: “I’m sorry to hear that.”

•Practice active listening and respectful responses through role-playing.
