This work focuses on analyzing the gender gap within the field of Social Sciences and specifically International Relations in Argentina. Specifically, citation patterns it is used as a way to assess the level of centrality of scholars in their field of study. This work analyze the gender gap in two ways. Firstly, by a descriptive analysis of data from CONICET on researchers with fields of study related to International Relations. Secondly, analyzing a citation and co-authorship network analysis using the statistical package R and the Google Scholar API.Â
