Kahoot is a tool that allows teachers, or students to make an online quiz about any topic of their choosing. This is a useful tool as a teacher can choose the level of questions he or she provides of his students.
Once logged into Kahoot, teachers send out a "class code" that students plug into their device, they then answer the questions that are displayed on the classroom SmartBoard, projector, etc. and click their answers to the questions on their individual device. This tool is a great way for teachers to get students involved in technology in class, have them practice math, or any other content area, and receive formative data at the same time.
An Elmo is a projection device that can be used in any classroom, for any subject. This tool is one that can aid teachers in helping students to develop conceptual understanding of functions, as well as understanding of many other subjects. The Elmo provides teachers with a chance to display students' work for the class. The Elmo acts as a tool that enables discussion in the classroom, which makes it an effective one in developing conceptual understanding of any topic, especially functions in mathematics, since graphs are often used and hard to duplicate quickly.

Although viewed as an obvious tool in math, using a graphing calculator is a specific technological tool that can greatly impact a students understanding of a variety of mathematical concepts, if used strategically. Specifically, if a student understands how to use the functions on the calculator, they will be able to look at the table, graph, and equation, all within seconds.
For example, this tool can be used in a classroom to help students understand how the equation, table, and graph of a linear and exponential equation are related. If a student can find the similarities between the different representations, they will gain a deeper understanding of these functions, which therefore aligns with my inquiry question. This tool allows a student to do this in a quicker manner than a pen and pencil could provide.
A graphing calculator is a tool that every teacher should learn how to use, and supplement their instruction with uses applicable to the calculator. This helps students to extend their knowledge, and make quicker connections.
