Hamilton Lane Trip

During the 2025 Spring Semester, PMC took a trip to the Hamilton Lane Headquarters in Conshohocken, PA. Students gained insight into the firm's operations through an engaging overview of its work in private markets. They then tackled a real estate case study based on a recent deal, explored various sub-sectors, and wrapped up the day with a lively networking lunch alongside professionals ranging from junior analysts to senior leaders. PMC is looking forward to future events with Hamilton Lane.

Case Competition

In the Spring semester of 2025, PMC members competed in an internal venture capital case competition. The focus of the competition was on later-stage ventures as teams were asked to pitch the idea of participating in a hypothetical Series D funding round for Waymo. The teams spent weeks researching the industry, considering fundamental factors such as Waymo’s TAM opportunity, competitive positioning, unit economics, and potential risks. The teams used this research to determine if they should make the investment based on their calculation of IRR.

2022 Case Competition

PMC is proud to share our 2022 Case Competition which focused on Peloton Inc. Our six teams performed a quantitative and qualitative analysis of Peloton, provided insight on how management can improve operations, and recommended a buy, sell, or hold for shareholders. We would like to thank Zachary Bagdon, John Stocker, and Keith Walter for taking the time to serve as judges for the competition. We'd also like to thank our heads of education, Ean Kiely and Trent Zuspann, for their hard work putting the competition together. (Spring 2022)

Real Estate Panel

PMC was grateful for the opportunity to host Chris Locke of Lang Development Group for an engaging speaker event with a focus on real estate. Mr. Locke's career advice, market insights, and his work founding Sean's House is inspirational for our members. We would like to thank him for taking the time to share his incredible journey! PMC was thrilled to partner with the Blue Hen Investment Club on an amazing recruitment event with Kate Flynn-Filippelli and Ariana Brown of Stifel Financial Corp. Asset Management Panel

We're excited to share that we hosted our first in-person panel of the semester with Keith Walter of University of Delaware and Jim Hinkley, CFA, CPA of Macquarie Group. Fireside Chat

PMC is thrilled to have been able to host Jason Castelluccio, CIMA® Nuveen, a TIAA company, for an in-person fireside chat as a part of our Fall 2021 Guest Speaker Series. Our members are grateful for his insights into the US macro economy, and the great career advice he shared. (Fall 2021)

First In-Person Speaker Event

Last Friday, the Private Markets Club collaborated with Hens of Wall Street for our first ever in-person speaker event. We were joined by Justin Hicks of JPMorgan Chase & Co., who shared an enlightening and engaging presentation about his incredible journey and his work in derivative and special equity trading.
