The mission of the Private Markets Club is to prepare UD students for careers across private equity, venture capital, private credit, real estate, and alternative investments. Members build skills in valuation, financial modeling, Excel, Bloomberg, investment analysis, and pitching. Through case competitions, workshops, speaker events, and industry engagement, students apply their skills to real-world investment scenarios while gaining exposure. PMC provides a collaborative environment where members strengthen their technical abilities, expand their networks, and gain experience for competitive finance careers.
The Private Markets Club consists of ~35 members and is led by the executive board, which includes a President, Vice President, Director of Events, Head of Recruitment, and Head of Research. Some responsibilities of the executive board include organizing club meetings, spearheading recruitment, planning case studies, hosting guest speaker events, providing education to members, and much more. The club is advised by Professor Fei Xie from the Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics Department of Finance.
